Citizen established its roots in 1918, then went on to be known as ‘Citizen’ in 1930 when the Citizen watch company began producing its world-famous timepieces. Over the following decades, Citizen applied the precision miniaturisation and precision production technologies developed through watch manufacturing to provide a wide range of electronic components and products.
